Matcha has survived centuries because certain growers refuse to alter ancestral standards. Not only through ritualistic dedication to the tea ceremony, but through a lineage of integrity. Traditional growers pay deep attention to cultivation, harvest timing, and the character of each region's soil.
That degree of excellence has gotten lost in modern supply chains. A dilemma that lead to our decision of sourcing from only the truest growers in Japan. We ensure the matcha processed and shipped remains pure, authentic and intact by the time it reaches you.
Our direct partnerships with organic producers result in quality that speaks for itself. We invest in a standard of traceability that connects each batch to its specific origin and harvest. Our Tokyo-based operation is on a mission to preserve the ancient expertise these producers have safeguarded.
Ichigo Ichie
Our logo is based on Ichigo Ichie, a Japanese concept that translates to one time, one meeting. It’s based on 19th century tea ceremonies, where each gathering was regarded as a once in a lifetime encounter.
